M atson Alarm , a Pye Barker Fire & Safety / Fire Protection Service Corporation company, is hiring for a Security Installation Technician in our Bakersfield , California location .

Position Summary : The Security Installation Technician' s sole purpose is to serve customers by installing security systems properly and professionally.

Pay : $22 per hour depending on experience

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Serves new and existing accounts by analyzing work orders, understanding how to install and troubleshoot systems, investigating additional complaints, and resolving problems
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records electronically
• Maintains customer confidence by keeping all company information and policies confidential
• Maintains company efficiency by following company procedures
• Accomplishes operational and organizational missions by completing related tasks as needed
• Ability to manage a multiple appointment's scheduled daily / weekly.
• Complete administrative tasks including inventory management.
• Educate customers on various system operations and maintenance.
• Being a dependable, responsible professional who is dedicated to working in a growing, fast-paced, and demanding environment.
• Reliable and presentable vehicle
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Ability to diffuse high tension situations while maintaining professionalism at all times

Education & Required Skills :

• High School Diploma / GED
• Must have one (1) or more years of experience
• Must be proactive in completing jobs and tasks with little or no direct supervision
• Flexible schedule and available to work Monday-Saturday with evenings required
• Must read and speak English

Physical Requirements :

• Employee will climb and stand on ladders for long periods of time.
• Employee will operate power tools such as electrical drills, and hand tools such as a screwdriver.
• The employee must be able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently must crawl, kneel, crouch, or lay down.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and construction environments.
• Daily exposure to outside environment, including inclement weather.
• The ability to twist, turn, bend, and use fine motor skills.
• Ability to drive a vehicle for long periods of time throughout the day.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :

• Auto insurance coverage must meet company standards throughout employment
